My strong objection to the confirmation of Elena Kagan

RE: My strong objection to the confirmation of Elena Kagan
Dear Senator (Senator Name):
The Executive and Legislative branches of our government have been taken over by a coalition whose goal is a fundamental remaking of our country. Our only remaining check and balance is the Supreme Court. The U. S. Constitution was written to protect the rights of American citizens and limit the powers of government. The duty of the Supreme Court is to apply the law as written; not to change the law to fit political or social objectives.
Article 5 of the Constitution provides the amendment process as the method for making any changes the people deem necessary. Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution grants to the legislature the power to “create all laws”. Article 6 of the Constitution states that judges shall be bound by the Constitution and the laws of the United States. It does not allow for any court, including the Supreme Court, to ignore or otherwise pervert the law of the land according to the political beliefs of the judge.
Elena Kagan is a political ideologue with zero judicial experience. Her past actions indicate that she will become an activist judge to change the laws of our country based on international law and social objectives. Her record makes it clear that she will vote to eliminate free speech, limit Second Amendment freedoms, remove limits on the powers of government, and take away any other individual rights of U. S. citizens that interfere with her personal perception of the “greater good”.
Elena Kagan is not fit to serve as a U. S. Supreme Court Justice and is a threat to the only remaining check against unlimited government expansion.
Please push your fellow senators to stand up for the Constitution of the United States and the rights of citizens. Filibuster the confirmation of Kagan to prevent this destruction of the rule of law upon which this nation is based.
Sincerely,
