Immigration vs Illegal Immigration
Representative Boehner:
We have Immigration Laws. Not enforcing our immigration laws is as much of a criminal act as are the acts of those who violate our Immigration Laws. It could easily be argued that there is little difference between those illegally immigrating into this country and those facilitating their illegal immigration by refusing to enforce our Immigration Laws.
The similarities between a security guard helping a thief steal artifacts from a museum and illegal immigrants gaining access to our nation through the deliberate or apathetic negligence of those enforcing our Immigrant Laws is clear. Giving amnesty to illegal immigrants through “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” is no more appropriate for our illegal immigration problem than would be using “Comprehensive Curator Reform” to allow a thief to retain custody of artifacts stolen from a museum.
Do not support measures currently being considered to revisit the Comprehensive Immigration Reform that was so soundly rejected a few years ago. Instead, support measures to enforce our current Immigration Laws. You might look to the Governor of Arizona for leadership in that effort.

Constitutional Principles and Betrayal
Representative Boehner:
For over half of my sixty-six years I’ve been a dedicated watcher of people in politics, especially those holding federal Constitutional Offices. It seems the most egregious violators of Constitutional Principles reside in the democrat party. The GOP is not without fault, but of the two major political parties those most given to flagrantly violating those principles reside in the democrat party.
The events of this past year gave witness of the extent to which a democrat party majority is willing to go to “work around” or ignore Constitutional Restrictions on their legislative and regulatory authorities. As these actions continue into Calendar Year 2010, members of the minority party simply shrug their shoulders and ask, “What can we do; we’re the minority?” Both parties are culpable, one in its actions, the other in its inaction.
The attitude of those in Congress and this White House appears to be, “We merely pass laws and regulate. It is the Supreme Court’s responsibility to decide what is or is not Constitutional.” That despite members of Congress and the White House being bound by oath or affirmation to “Support the US Constitution”, the Executive Branch even more strenuously bound to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Couple with that the corruption of the courts by appointing justices not supportive of the US Constitution, and you have a literal coup d’état by those entrusted with the Consent of the Governed as those “representatives” betray their oath. Nothing good will come of that.
In this nation the population that derives it rights from God lends its Consent to government to govern with those entrusted to hold government offices to serve as stewards of the Constitution. Given the expanding size and influence of the federal government, an honest observation of those representatives’ governance can only conclude that they have betrayed their trust. Nothing good ever comes from betrayal.
Yesterday, democrat members of Congress, in a disquieting example of betraying this nation’s Constitutional sovereignty, stood in unison to applaud Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon’s criticism of the State of Arizona’s efforts to support US Immigration policy. Nothing good comes from betrayed allegiance.

We Read the Bill … But Didn’t Finish

We Read the Bill … But Didn’t Finish
Blue Ash, OH, May 17, 2010. Several hundred volunteers and supporters of the Cincinnati Tea Party and the Cincinnati 9/12 Project joined together to read the federal-takeover-of-healthcare bill. Readers spent 72 hours reading the bill aloud — from 6:00 p.m. Friday to 6:00 p.m. Monday. They did not finish.
“It is highly unlikely that our elected officials could read the bill in the time allotted. It is improbable that they could cross reference the bill. And it is impossible that they could have researched the implications of other laws that are changed by this legislation,” said Ed Bell of the Cincinnati Tea Party.
“It was wonderful to see such an outpouring of support and interest,” said Amy Burke of the Cincinnati 9/12 Project. “I never expected to have walk-in volunteers at 3 o’clock in the morning!”
Formal invitations were sent to the Democrat, Libertarian, and Republican parties of Hamilton County. Steve Chabot, Chris Monzel, Jean Schmidt, and Mike Wilson accepted invitations to ‘read the bill’.
About the Cincinnati Tea Party
http://www.cincinnatiteaparty.org
The Cincinnati Tea Party is a grassroots, nonpartisan organization promoting core principles of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets, while strongly opposing wasteful government spending at all levels. We encourage our members to actively participate in government by supporting candidates who share our goals and core principles or by running for office. Our goals include influencing elections to protect the freedom of all American citizens, promoting state sovereignty (Federalism), and compelling our elected officials to comply with the Constitution of the United States of America as written. To accomplish our goals, the Cincinnati Tea Party:
· Provides Voice to liberty-minded Americans through rallies, forums, and town halls
· Supports the Education of Americans for a better understanding of our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and the limited authority granted to our government by the People
· Impacts Elections throughout America by encouraging freedom-loving American citizens to run for office at the local, county, and state levels
The Cincinnati Tea Party was founded in February 2009 by a conservative group of Cincinnatians who love America and want to pass its gift of freedom to our children. In April 2009, Community Tea Parties were launched to allow local leaders to spread the core principles at the neighborhood level.
About the Cincinnati 9/12 Project
http://www.cincinnati912project.com
The Cincinnati 9/12 Project’s mission is to return to Federalist principles by shifting power from Washington politicians to the people whom they represent. The intent is to restore the balance of power among municipalities, states, and the federal government as originally envisioned by our Founding Fathers and as originally set forth in the Constitution of the United States of America.
The organization was founded in February 2009 as part of a national initiative to unite all Americans ─ regardless of political orientation ─ in pursuing events and actions that drive our politicians to follow Constitutional principles and values.

Barack Obama and the Supreme Court’s Cloud of Doubt
Representative Boehner:
Proclaiming something to be true while hiding evidence of its truth is childishly immature. The Office of President of the United States requires honest, mature and sincere occupants well vested in Constitutional Principles. In proclaiming himself Constitutionally eligible to occupy the Office of President while spending a reported $2 Million in legal fees to conceal evidence of his eligibility is beyond immature; it is simply silly, childish in the most poignant sense of the term.
Two years into the Obama Administration at least two seats on the Supreme Court will have been replaced. The cloud over Barack Obama occupying the Office of President that surrounds his Article II, Section 1 eligibility also hangs over the legitimacy of the judicial offices replaced during Barack Obama’s time in the President’s Office.
Many decisions coming from the Supreme Court are decided on a five to four basis. If, a few years down the road, it is discovered that Barack Obama really wasn’t Constitutionally eligible to hold the Office of President, how could his acts or nominations made as President be Constitutionally sound? Any “good” lawyer is going to argue that decisions having Obama nominees in the majority should be held null and void. The cloud over Obama extends to other aspects of the federal government, including Supreme Court decisions.
It is well past time to remove the cloud over Barack Obama’s claim on the Office of President and offer for Constitutional Evaluation the birth certificate and other documents he has thus far successfully concealed from public scrutiny.

Historic Event
Representative Boehner:
Visiting Blue Ash last evening, I had the opportunity to visit a historic event. I write “historic” because members of Cincinnati’s 912 and Tea Party groups were actually reading the words of the roughly 2,400 pages of health care reform signed into law in March. We pay legislators a few hundred thousand dollars a year in salary and benefits to read and digest such legislation, but they routinely wave, “by acclimation” (unanimous consent) the reading of such legislation on the floor of the House and Senate.
The local effort to “read the bill”, now law, in 72 hours was only to gain “contact” with the words at one sitting. They wanted to investigate if their legislators could have read the words in the legislation they casually passed into law back in March. To actually read the words “in context”, multiple thousands of additional pages of existing laws and regulations would have to be brought to the table to be read and digested. The health care reform legislation they were reading, euphemistically known as “ObamaCare”, establishes a framework about which regulations will be written that effect the health care of every US Citizen . . . a framework that will actually excuse moslems from some of the mandates and penalties forced on non moslems.
Watching as one person after another stepped before the stack of pages that is “ObamaCare” to read their fifteen-minute segment, I felt as if I were witnessing descendants of an earlier generation. I felt awed to be in the presence of a group of people who genuinely love this Nation, its History, and its Constitution, people who exemplify its Honor. The thought occurred that these are the caliber of people who should be in our Constitutional Offices, should be occupying the Halls of Congress, the White House and the Supreme Court. These are the people who could pledge their Lives, their Fortunes, and they Sacred Honor and actually mean it and have those qualities to pledge.
Leaving them to their vigil I reflected on a comment by our Attorney General, Eric Holder, who, although waxing eloquence against Arizona’s ten page bill authorizing Arizona law enforcement to act against those violating federal immigration laws, admitted not to have bothered reading Arizona’s law before giving his “learned” opinion. Other revealing comments such as from the mouth of John Conyers scoffing at those who expect legislators to “Read the Bill” come to mind as well.
We are paying the wrong people to represent us and serve in high offices of the federal government.

It has grown to be a great community because of hard work, responsibility, and faith in the American idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
